Fall Break

Fall Break finally came...and went. Way too fast I might add. It seemed like I was home and then back at college in the blink of an eye. Regardless of how short it was, it was still an enjoyable time. I wasn't able to go home on Friday after class because I had to work on Saturday, which was disappointing but I still made the most of my night. After class, I had lunch with my friend at Tavern 101 and hung out with her until she left. Then I went back to my apartment, showered and watched about eight hours' worth of "Friends" episodes.

On Saturday, I worked the men's soccer game doing the live stats. We won 6-0, so it was a great game! Then, I wrote the game recaps for the men's and women's games before heading home for the rest of the break. When I got home, we left right away to go to my little brother's football game, where they lost unfortunately. After the game, I went to my best friend's house to spend the night because Saturday was her birthday! On Sunday, I took her out for lunch to our favorite restaurant and got ice cream after. Later Sunday night, a group of people from my church got together at my pastor's house to have supper. We had cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips and a lot of desserts. My mom made a Caramel Apple Dump Cake, which she has never made before but it was amazing!

Monday and Tuesday I was able to sleep in and I didn't do much of anything during the day. My sister was also on fall break, so I just hung out with her and watched some movies. She has the whole week off though, so I wasn't very happy when I had to come back and she was still at home. When I got back to campus Tuesday night, I got Taco Bell for supper then went over to my friend's dorm to watch Dancing with the Stars. This is the first time I have watched a season from the beginning and I love it! None of the couples that I like have gotten eliminated yet so I'm hoping they stay on for a while longer!

  1. That sounds like a lot of fun!! It sucks that this break went by so quickly, but I’m glad you at least got to see your best friend. And I hope she had a happy birthday, that was very nice of you to take her out to lunch! On Monday and Tuesday I did the same thing as you and mostly slept in and laid around, I didn’t have energy to really do anything else. But I’m glad your break seemed to have gone well!

  2. Time really does fly on weekends and breaks! As a member of the soccer team, I want to thank you for your help with live stats and game recaps. It sounds like you spent a lot of your time enjoying movies and TV shows, which is a great way to relax. I'm glad you were still able to do so much, even though you didn’t get home until Saturday evening!
