Busy Weekends vs. Lazy Weekends

For me, I feel like there are only two kinds of weekends when I'm at college: busy weekends and lazy weekends. Obviously busy weekends are exactly how they sound, you feel like you constantly have to be somewhere or have something to do. Lazy weekends are the opposite, they're not necessarily boring but you have nothing that you need to do, which is nice. Most of my weekends this semester have been busy, but this weekend, I finally had a lazy weekend.

There was only one thing that I had to do all weekend and that was work the men's soccer game on Saturday afternoon. After the game, I came back to my apartment to write the men's and women's soccer recaps, then I laid on the couch watching "Friends" the rest of the afternoon. For supper, my roommate and I ordered a pizza from Viva Maria's, which we think is the best pizza place in Ada. After eating, I went to my friend's dorm to hang out with her since I hadn't seen her all day.

Sunday morning, I woke up early to go to Columbus with my friends. One of my friends had test-driven a Tesla overnight because he wants to buy one, so we rode to Columbus with him to take it back, which I didn't originally plan to do. After we dropped it off, we got brunch at the restaurant Scrambler's, then did some shopping at Easton. I didn't buy anything but it was nice to walk around with them. After we got back to campus, we went to Lima to watch the new movie "We Live in Time." It was a really good movie but it was also very sad. I'm not much of a crier, so you know it was sad when I'm sobbing at the end of it!

Overall, it was a very relaxing weekend. Many people may like having busy weekends with a lot of plans but I would rather have a lazy weekend. I like not having much planned and just going with the flow, so this weekend was perfect for me. Even if I had done nothing but sit in my dorm all weekend, I would have enjoyed it!

  1. Sounds like an unexpected blast of a weekend! I bet that test drive blew your mind with how far technology has come in the recent years. I definitely agree that a lazy weekend is my go to as I am a certified homebody but I love making spontaneous plans with friends, those are the best memories!

  2. I completely relate to these types of weekends. It sounds like you were able to get the recharge you needed to continue pushing through this semester. I can't wait to be able to take my lazy weekend coming up.
