Busy Weekends in Ada

With school now in full swing, my weekends are becoming very busy. Not only do I have to keep up with my homework, but I also have to work and try to have some fun! I started my weekend off at Bizbash on Friday night. Bizbash is a carnival celebration for students in the Dicke College of Business. There are carnival games, a dunk tank and free food. Although it was raining on Friday, we were still able to host it and have a good time. After Bizbash I worked the men's soccer game. We won 2-1 and the sunset was gorgeous, so it was a great night! Ada always has the best sunsets, especially from the press box at Kerscher Stadium!


Friday night and Saturday morning were spent catching up on homework. Saturday afternoon I went to Ohio Northern's first football game. We played great and won 45-7, so it was really fun to watch! The men's soccer team had another game on Saturday night, so I had to work that as well. We got another win, this time 5-1, so it was another enjoyable game. Overall, it was a good weekend for ONU sports! After the game on Saturday night, I was able to have a movie night with my friends, where we watched the new movie Twisters.


Sunday morning, I was able to sleep in, which was really nice. My friend's parents came up around 12, so we went to Olive Garden with them for lunch, which is one of my favorite restaurants. I ordered the chicken tortellini alfredo, which is what I get every time, along with the endless salad and breadsticks, of course. The rest of my day was spent finishing up homework and relaxing to get ready for the new week. Although my weekends are getting busier, it's still nice to have a routine and time to hang out with my friends!

Halloweekend!

I had been looking forward to this weekend for a while and it finally came, Halloweekend! Halloween isn't my favorite holiday but I still love being able to dress up and have fun. One of my favorite parts about Halloween is seeing everyone else's costumes, because some people come up with funny ones. Thanksgiving Break

I feel like I have been going nonstop since the start of the semester, so Thanksgiving break was a much-needed time to relax and not worry about classes or work for a while! Over the break, I was able to travel to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina with my friend, Kennedy, and her dad, Tim, to visit Tim's aunt and uncle, Joyce and Jerry. I also went to Hilton Head with her over spring break last semester, so it was nice to go back! Tuesday, we spent the whole day driving. We left at 6 a.m. and didn't get to their house until 9 p.m. because there was a lot of traffic. When we got there, Joyce had made us chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese, so we caught up with them while we were eating. Since we woke up early that morning and had spent all day in the car, I slept so good that night and didn't wake up until 10:30 Wednesday morning. A Family-Filled Weekend

This weekend was much needed, not only because I got a break from classes and homework but also because I was able to see family that I haven't seen in a long time! I am one of the youngest on both sides of my family, so many of my aunts, uncles and cousins have moved away from the area, so it's always nice when we can get together again! My weekend started off busy, having to work both Friday and Saturday. Friday night, I worked the home women's basketball game, which was the first of the season. Basketball is my favorite sport, so I'm glad it's finally basketball season again! ONU won 77-49, so it was a great game to work!
